THINKING ABOUT MOUNT DORA? →

Small-Town Florida, the Way I Know It

I was born and raised right here in Lake County, and Mount Dora is one of those places that has a way of making people fall in love with it.

Downtown is the kind of place where you can grab coffee, wander through locally owned shops, meet friends for dinner and end the night by the lake, all without ever moving your car.

What makes this area really special is everything beyond downtown.

THE HARRIS CHAIN OF LAKES
This is lake life in the truest sense. Boating, fishing, waterfront restaurants, sunset cruises and weekends spent hopping from lake to lake.

SMALL-TOWN LIVING
Mount Dora has the festivals, local businesses, historic homes and community feel people picture when they think of a charming Florida town.

CENTRAL FLORIDA LOCATION
You get a completely different pace of life while still being within reach of Orlando, the theme parks, airports and everything Central Florida offers.

I’ve watched this area grow and change my entire life, and I still think there’s something pretty special about calling it home!

The Harris Chain connects more than 50,000 acres of water across Lake County, linking lakes like Dora, Harris, Eustis and Griffin.

But around here, the lakes aren't just something pretty to look at — they're part of how we live.

BOAT FROM TOWN TO TOWN
Spend the day cruising the chain, exploring different lakes and pulling up by boat to some of our favorite waterfront spots.

WATERFRONT DINING
Lunch on the water, sunset drinks, live music and dinner by boat — this is one of my favorite ways to spend a Florida weekend.

FISHING + WATER DAYS
Bass fishing, swimming, paddleboarding, sunset cruises or simply dropping anchor and spending the afternoon on the water.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO LIVE WATERFRONT
There are waterfront homes, canal homes, communities with lake access and plenty of neighborhoods where you can keep your boat at home and be at the ramp in minutes.

I grew up around these lakes. This isn't just an area I sell, it's a lifestyle I know!
